Support and interest in collaboration has been expressed by -

• The National Sports Council, Barbados
• The University of Florida, U.S.A.

Three projects in collaboration with the Barbados National Sports Council (NSC) have been initiated. 

1. The construction of a series of practice cricket pitches at NSC headquarters using different clays available in Barbados. These will be managed similarly and evaluated in terms of pace, bounce, etc.

2. A survey of sports groundsmen in Barbados to create a database of their practices. This will be followed by regional and national workshops to share knowledge and develop strategies.

3. The development of a grass nursery at NSC headquarters. This will include grass ecotypes collected from sports fields in Barbados and wild grasses with sports agronomic potential.
