| . | |||
The B.Sc. degree programme is either of 3 or 4 years' duration. This is determined by the student's level of qualifications on entry to the University (Lower or Full Matriculation). The Department offers Single Majors in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Ecology and Microbiology, Double Majors in Biology or Chemistry or Double Majors involving Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Ecology and Microbiology. A student can also obtain a minor(s) from the Department in any of these disciplines. In addition, the Department provides courses in Earth Sciences which students can use to complement the courses required for their Major/Minor. N.B. In order to major (or minor) in any of the biological disciplines (Biochemistry, Biology, Ecology, Microbiology) a student must have passed CAPE Chemistry, or its equivalent, either before entry or early in their University programme. |
