SOME FERNS OF BARBADOS

 

 

Pteris vittata

The commonest fern in Barbados. Frond pinnate, terminal pinna largest, sori marginal. Non-native from palaeotropics. [Taxonomic and distribution data]

 

 

Anemia adiantifolia

Flowering fern. Sori borne on specialised fertile leaves. [Taxonomic and distribution data]

Pityrogramma calomelanos

Campyloneurum brevifolium
